WATTS® Dielectric Union, 1 in Nominal, FNPT, 2-1/2 in Length, 250 psi, Steel, Galvanized, 180 deg F, 2-1/4 in W
This 1 inch lead free dielectric union is used to prevent accelerated corrosion and deterioration in the piping system due to galvanic and stray current. Used in commercial and residential installations, it is used to connect pipes made from dissimilar metals for applications such as hot water storage tanks, water and air conditioners, processing tanks, steam, gas, and water piping. It consists of a FIP thread to FIP thread (galvanized) connections, union nut, two tailpieces, and a Buna-N gasket that separates the tailpieces to prevent an electric current from occurring. The maximum temperature is rated up to 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) at 250 psi (17.2 bar).
